Computers play a vital role in the modern business world, and many of the most basic jobs involve use of technology and computers. DIGITAL INDIA is one of the scheme of Govt. where everyone may get minimum 20 hours of training so that they are able to perform daily routine work like payment of bills, reservation of tickets, filling up the forms for getting admission or applying for jobs etc.
Children nowadays have computer classes at school. They are already familiar with the keyboard and the mouse. Most have a smart phone too. Nowadays children don’t have to worry about their computer literacy because they learn the basics at school and catch the rest by personal experiments.
Teaching students how to use computers helps them prepare for any number of possible careers and gives them an extra edge over others who don’t know how to function with computers. Courses in computer can be of long term or short term. One can choose whatever one likes according to convenience. There are numerous private institutes which provide training in computers. National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (N.I.El.I.T.) is a society for providing computer education. It is under department of Electronics and Information technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Govt of India. Certification of NIELIT is valid all over India and it has 65 accredited centres in various parts of Delhi. The list is available on its website www.nielit.nic.in.
